Sue Oaks lives in Melbourne, Australia.
Discovering a passion for reading and writing from a young age, Sue completed a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Literature and later added a Grad. Dip. of Teaching (secondary) and a Grad. Diploma of Literary Studies. Six years of teaching later and Sue moved into social work, a career which she combines with her writing.
Encouraged by some success in short story competitions, two of which resulted in prizes and publication - 'Secrets', a short story compilation published by Ginninderra Press and 'Slippery When Wet, Edition 7' published by Australian Roadside Services, Sue continued to write a range of fiction and non-fiction pieces, including regular articles on her blog 'Hey, don't crush the wildflowers' http://sue-oaks.blogspot.com.au/ .
Sue is currently working on a suspense fiction novel titled 'A Justified Desire', a story about a mother who seeks to be re-united with her four year old daughter who has been taken away and who faces a series of obstacles, including her relationship with a violent and controlling man.
